The bar opens at 08:00 and stays open until midnight, making it one of the longer-hours work-friendly areas in any Amsterdam hostel.
Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark has both private rooms (doubles, twins, family rooms) and dormitories. All room types include free bed linen — you make your own bed. Towels are not included but can be rented at reception. Each room has in-room lockers for valuables. The hostel is EU Ecolabel certified, uses 100% green energy, and operates cashless (cards only, no cash accepted).
The on-site restaurant serves breakfast (07:30–11:00 daily) and dinner (17:00–21:00). Scores for the food are among the highest of any Stayokay hostel — food is rated 9.4 by guests. The bar is open from 08:00 to midnight, serving coffee, organic drinks, and meals. Menus include vegetarian and vegan options, organic bread, and UTZ-certified coffee and fairtrade tea.
The hostel is on Zandpad 5, directly on the northern edge of Vondelpark — Amsterdam's main park. The Rijksmuseum is a 10-minute walk (0.5 km). The Van Gogh Museum and Museumplein are the same distance. Leidseplein is under 10 minutes on foot, and from there trams 2, 11, and 12 reach Amsterdam Central Station in about 15 minutes. From Schiphol Airport, Connexxion Bus 397 runs direct to Leidseplein every 15 minutes (around 35 minutes).
Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark sits right on Zandpad, the path that runs along the northern edge of Vondelpark. The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are a 10-minute walk south. Leidseplein — Amsterdam's nightlife and transport hub — is a 5-minute walk north. Trams 2, 11, and 12 from Leidseplein reach Amsterdam Central Station in 15 minutes. The neighbourhood is Oud-West, one of the most pleasant residential areas in the city.

Fantastic location, brilliant staff and even better coffee! We had a private room and the bathroom was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. Brilliant experience start to finish and would always recommend.
Great location (close walk to restaurants, stores and transportation), comfy beds, clean facility and helpful staff. Also enjoyed the lounge downstairs and the breakfast.
