The immediate surroundings are calm for the area, with a café and a vegetarian restaurant right next door and a bakery at the entrance to the lane. Saigon Square is 70 meters away, Le Van Tam Park is 170 meters for morning walks, and Ben Thanh Market is about 1.6 km on foot. The airport is a straightforward 20-minute drive.
M Village Hotel Hai Bà Trưng is a solid choice for remote workers who prefer the layout and independence of a serviced apartment over a standard hotel room. What a wonderful experience: a generously sized apartment with a proper kitchenette, full fridge, lounge area, dining table and coffee table, and a separate roomy master. Piping hot showers. Book shelves. Free laundry machines. And reception service! It's like combining the best of AirBnB with a motel, at really good prices to boot. I checked out late to my shame and while the cleaning staff were held up, the reception did not fuss. My apologies to the good crew—- i will be back and promise to be punctual next time!
Although breakfast is not provided, I appreciated the availability of free laundry facilities for long-term business travelers. The location is also great, situated in a prime area with a park across the street, allowing for morning walks. It was my first time staying in a hotel without a TV in the room, but since my schedule was busier than expected due to work, I didn't find it too inconvenient. There's a café just to the left of the hotel lobby's glass door where you can work on your laptop and enjoy a drink under the tranquil shade of trees in the alley (which has a subtle romantic vibe). In front of the hotel, there's a vegetarian restaurant, and to the right of the hotel, there's a French restaurant. Overall, it seems they've excluded unnecessary services while providing all the essential services, and everything is cleanly managed. I recommend it as an excellent accommodation for the price.
Stayed in a deluxe room for 5 nights. This feels more like an apartment than a hotel as the room has a separate kitchen/dinning and sleeping/living area. The layout is good and plenty of room for luggage. The only minor set back is lacking a TV, but you do not need as the wifi works well. Bed is a little hard but it's fine for me. The lobby has washer and dryer (FOC), steam iron for guest to use. However, lobby can be warm. Not a pleasant experience to do ironing there. The lobby also opens to a Cafe next to it and a stone away from the main road with very nice bakey/Cafe. The staff are very polite and helpful. Will definitely come back again.
