Why this stay works well for a workation

M Village Hotel Da Nang Centre hits the sweet spot for remote workers visiting Vietnam. Every room comes with a dedicated desk, fast and reliable Wi-Fi clocking around 45 Mbps, blackout curtains for sleeping in after late calls, and in-room coffee and tea so you can start your morning on your own schedule. Beyond the room, the hotel's ground-floor open co-working area and café give you a change of scene without leaving the building — useful when you need a few focused hours or a casual meeting over a good flat white. The 24/7 WhatsApp front desk means any practical issue gets resolved quickly, which matters when you're trying to stay productive.

Workspace and room setup

Rooms range from 22 to 47 square metres and were renovated in 2024, so the furnishings and tech are current. Each room has a proper desk and chair, a flat-screen TV with HDMI ports that aren't locked, a mini bar and fridge, electric kettle, complimentary bottled water, and daily restocked coffee and tea. Wi-Fi runs at roughly 45 Mbps symmetrical — solid enough for video calls and uploading files without frustration. The ground floor hosts an open workspace and café where you can set up with a laptop during the day. There are no LAN ports in rooms, so Wi-Fi is your only option; that said, multiple guests report it as consistently reliable.

Atmosphere and design

The hotel opened in 2024 with a clean, modern-minimalist look that leans into local Vietnamese character through a rotating display of work by local artists. The communal ground floor — part café, part lounge, part laundry area — creates a friendly, hostel-adjacent social energy while still feeling polished. Guests describe it as having a "unique hangout feeling." The Pink Cathedral sits directly across the street and is visible from the lobby entrance, which sets an immediate sense of place. Upper-floor rooms with a city or river view are worth requesting; rooms on lower floors or without windows are quiet but dark. Weekends can get loud at night due to a nearby club, so ask for a courtyard-facing room if you're a light sleeper.

Value for money

Rooms typically run between $51 and $75 per night — meaningfully below the Da Nang average — for a freshly renovated 4-star property in the best part of the city. Free self-service laundry (washers and dryers on the ground floor) saves money on longer stays. Breakfast is included on most rates, though it skews basic: noodle soup, made-to-order eggs, fruit, and simple pastries. The café downstairs serves decent coffee, and the neighbourhood is dense with affordable local restaurants, some with Michelin recognition, within a two-minute walk. The value-for-money score on Agoda sits at 9.3 from over 1,600 reviews — consistently cited as one of the hotel's strongest points.

Best suited for

Solo remote workers and digital nomad couples who want a central Da Nang base without paying boutique-hotel prices. The location is hard to beat for anyone who wants to walk to food, markets, and the river rather than rely on Grab every time. It's also a strong choice for longer stays of one to three weeks — the in-room setup is functional, the free laundry removes a logistical headache, and the co-working area keeps things from getting claustrophobic. Business travellers making short trips to Da Nang will appreciate the 24/7 front desk and airport proximity (2.7 km). Less ideal for families with young children — there's no pool, and some rooms are compact.

Location

The hotel sits at 177 Trần Phú in Hải Châu district — Da Nang's urban core. The iconic Pink Cathedral (Da Nang Cathedral) is directly across the street. Han Market is a 5-minute walk. The Han River and its bridges, including the fire-breathing Dragon Bridge, are within easy strolling distance. Da Nang International Airport is just 2.7 km away — about 10 minutes by taxi. The neighbourhood is dense with cafés, restaurants, spas, pharmacies, and convenience stores, making it one of the most self-contained bases in the city.

Final thoughts

M Village Da Nang Centre is one of the easier workation recommendations in Vietnam. It does the fundamentals well — fast Wi-Fi, a proper desk, spotless rooms, a ground-floor café, and a location that puts the entire city within walking distance. The staff responsiveness via WhatsApp and the attentive front desk make everyday logistics smooth. If you're spending a week or two in Da Nang and want a reliable, well-priced base that won't require workarounds to get work done, this is a solid choice.

Exceptional

Location is near many eateries. I got the room without windows. Previously upgraded to room with window view of street and it was too noisy for me. Staff were young, spoke English, and very tentative to their guests. This hotel has a unique hangout feeling to it. Has free to use washer and dryer on ground floor and the staff even dried my clothes when I didn't come down in time (not part of their service). There's a cafe inside the hotel near entry. Room had nice size flat screen TV and the HDMI ports are not locked like some hotels. Internet speed was good at about 45mbps up/down for wifi, no LAN ports in room. Room was very clean and bathroom even has exhaust vent. Aircon was ice cold. Overall, this was a really good hotel and highly recommend.

Clean and spacious

Stayed in a Premier Room – it was clean, roomy, and looked just like the photos. There's a window, but it faces a wall, so no view. There's a small couch, coffee table, and desk. Still, plenty of space for two people to move around comfortably. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. They restock complimentary water, tea, and coffee daily in the room. Bathroom's small but spotless, with strong water pressure and both handheld and rain shower options. Good soundproofing too, and the TV lets you sign in to Netflix. Staff were amazing – special thanks to Xe Rub for being so friendly and helping me with train tickets! Great communication before, during, and after my stay via WhatsApp. Reception is available 24/7. The location's perfect and safe for solo travellers – right by the cathedral and walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, and the dragon bridge. The hotel also has free laundry, a game area, a spa, and a cute coffee shop in the lobby. Would definitely stay again!

5-star service, lovely stay!

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay in the retreat room. Super spacious, spotless cleanliness, and very comfortable sleep. Especially loved the design of the bathroom and bathtub. Wi-fi worked incredibly well, nice for remote work. Attentive staff and 24/7 whatsapp responsiveness. Only complaint was the loud bass and music from the nearby bar from 10pm - 2/3am. Our earplugs did a good job, but light sleepers might not enjoy their stay as much as we did. We really appreciated the coffee machine and soy milk, though!
